Since we started Farmers Pick, we've been busy rescuing produce from going to waste. Along the way, we've spoken with farmers of all kinds, including those raising livestock.
While meat and produce are grown differently, the same issue persists:
Big companies control the supply chain, focusing more on efficiency than on quality or good farming practices.
The result is we're paying more for lower quality meat, whilst the hard work of farmers is being overlooked.
Meat is a crucial part of our food system — and if we want to change it for the better, we need to take action.
