Ingredients
-
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 500g pork mince
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp crushed ginger
- 200g green beans
- ½ head broccoli
- 2 carrots
- 1 ½ cups basmati rice
-
1 tbsp cornflour
- 4 tbsp soy sauce, reduced salt
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 100ml water
Sauce
Directions
Place rice in a rice cooker and submerge with 2 ¼ cups water. Cook on quick cook/steam or white rice function.
- Prepare vegetables: Trim ends of green beans and cut in half, chop broccoli into small florets, and peel and chop carrots into half moon shapes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Cook the mince for 5-7 mins until browned.
- Add the garlic, ginger and vegetables and cook for a further 5 mins, until vegetables slowly soften.
- While this is cooking, prepare the sauce. In a bowl, gradually add the soy sauce to the cornflour so it doesn’t clump. Add in the other ingredients and stir until smooth.
- Turn the heat up to high, and add in the sticky sauce. Allow it to bubble and coat everything.
- Serve over a bed of rice, and sprinkle with sesame seeds
